The government of Cameroon through the ministry of mines, industry and technological development plans to create a special economic zone in Bertoua, East region of Cameroon, with the aim of boosting the Timber industry in the country.
The information was revealed by the minister of mines, Gabriel Dodo Ndoke, during a workshop organized in Bertoua in May 21, 2021.On April 17, 2019, the President of the Republic, Paul Biya, signed a decree setting out the modalities for the creation and management of economic zones in Cameroon.
